RISE, Misty Terrell
Misty shares her personal journey of discovery and recovery while also walking you through the step by step process of recovery. Her husband answers questions at the end of each chapter, sharing a glimpse into the mindset of an addict in healthy recovery.

Connect to a local recovery group, like a “Conquer” Group. You can find support groups through Samson Society, Soul Refiner, or Pure Desire Ministries.

LOCATE A CERTIFIED SEX ADDICTION THERAPIST IN YOUR AREA
A CSAT is great for establishing sobriety and helping the individual prepare for a full therapeutic disclosure when working towards relational reconciliation.
Some CSATS also specialize in trauma support and are able to help the individual connect to the root cause, emotions and triggers that have contributed to the addictive patterns and process them in a healthy way.
Other CSATS don’t have this specialty. We recommend starting with a CSAT to establish sobriety, and get through disclosure and then you can re-asses if they have the tools to help you deepen your recovery journey.

Begin Again Institute (2 Week recovery Intensive) It’s important to remember that recovery is a 2-5 year process. While intensives can kickstart the journey, make sure you have plan set up for when you come to continue your recovery journey with a practitioner that can support your specific needs.
